Fair warning: we're a bit cranky today, though for good reason. If you don't care to hear our moans of disappointment, leavened though they are by the dispirited whine of a website being cut to pieces, this might not be the chat site review for you. While we tend to lavish love on our favorite sites, the Constant Reader will have noticed that we're equally likely to gripe about the sites that disappoint us -- which is hard to do, since taut and curvaceous female flesh doth have charms to soothe the savage breast. But there are times when one must call a spade a spade, rather than just a funny-looking shovel.
This is one of the times.
We have to admit that 247Live is nicely put-together, but that's kind of like wrapping up a pack of chewing gum in a great, big Christmas box with a huge, elaborate bow. The package looks appealing on the surface, but it doesn't have much substance, and it's mostly empty space. We don't mean just from a homegirls perspective, either. Oh, if 247live has any, we're the Beatles -- but the worst thing is that the site is empty. Apparently, 24/7 doesn't mean what it used to. From the name, you'd expect to find lots of live girls aching to fulfill your every need any old time you decided to show up, now wouldn't you? It happens on other sites, after all; but not, apparently, on 247live. That's probably a function of the fact that they only have about 140 models signed up. Or at least they say they do; the most we ever saw online at any time was four. And we did check during the times when the site was supposed to be especially busy (for example, Friday night). Even many of the girls scheduled for that time weren't there, despite the fact that their pictures were displayed on the WHO'S ON NOW page. Maybe they were all just in private shows when we went there. And maybe pigs can fly to the moon.
Sigh. And here we were, ready to provide yet another sparkling review of a site with plentiful home-based chat girls, like the ones we've been lucky enough to stumble onto, lo these past few weeks -- you know, like Peekshows and JuicyNetwork. Instead, reality slaps us wickedly in the face, and we get stuff like this:
Well, isn't that special. You can't read the entire sign, but it says "Model On Break." That was at a time when there are only two models available, period. Sure, this happens sometimes, but she ought to log off for a while when she's not performing. And at least she wasn't asleep, or talking to someone on the phone -- we've seen that before, too, especially on AsianBabeCam. But here's something we hadn't seen before: a model who wouldn't show a viewer her feet. Now, anyone who's ever spent more than a few minutes on a chat girl site will know that there are guys who have this thing about girl's feet. It doesn't cock our pistol, but it's not uncommon, so it's not surprising. All this girl said was "No." Not "Only in private," or "No, I have a hangnail today," just "No." What's up with that? She was dressed in a bikini that left little to her imagination, but she wouldn't show us her feet? Poor footlover. The inescapable conclusion was that she had ugly feet and was embarrassed by them. She did look distinctly unhappy. In any case, we didn't bother to hang around. After all, there was a whopping total of three other girls to see!
OK, so what about our reason for being, home webcam chat girls? We'll admit that our options were limited, but from what we were able to see, there were NO HOME-BASED CHAT GIRLS AT ALL on 247live. To put it bluntly, we think that sucks. We'd be willing and happy to be proven wrong, of course, but it seems unlikely. Every girl we were able to access seemed to be in a room decorated in the same way (it was the vertically-pleated wall curtains that gave it away).
One thing the site has going for it is the fact that the private chat credits only cost a dollar or so, and it's easy to pay for them using most major credit cards. Once you buy some credits (starting at $29.99), you get a free "forever" membership. That's good, because apparently most of the lot of the girls won't even talk to you unless you're a member. Well, as my favorite British writers would put it, bugger that for a game of soldiers! (Hard to believe we supposedly speak the same language, ain't it?). It's the opinion of your humble review staff that, in its present incarnation, 247live isn't worth paying money for. Not only are the girls all studio based, if they can't even acknowledge us when we speak to them, we'll spend our bucks elsewhere.
