How to Recognize Homegirls |

People sometimes ask us why we make such a big deal out of preferring to chat with home-based camgirls rather than their studio-based counterparts. For us, we suppose, it's the freedom. Homegirls have a lot more of it than studio-based camgirls, because the studio honeys have to follow rules, don't they? As a rule, an independent woman broadcasting from the comfort of her own home rather than from a studio can do more of what she wants, whether it's flirting casually with the client, or getting' down-and-dirty right there on the hearth-rug trying to fulfill his carnal fantasies. She also has the option of charging what she wants, not what some studio tells her she should, so her rates can be more flexible. So can the time she spends online, with whoever she's chosen to chat with. We believe wholeheartedly that most studios realize this, which is why they make it so hard, sometimes, to tell their girls from homegirls. They do this in two ways: they either 1) disguise their girls as homegirls; or 2) to make the backdrop behind the girls so bland that you don't have a clue where they are. The second method is effective because some homegirls do this too -- they try to remove all personality from their backgrounds, probably to protect their anonymity and keep you guessing. This kills the whole reason most of us have for relishing homegirls, but it happens more often than you'd expect. That may show something of the psychology of the camgirls, or at least their lack of psychological understanding if they fail to know why people might prefer to see them really in their living room. If you've ever gone hunting for homegirls, then you know how hard it can be to find them and be sure of what you've got. Us experienced fans know how to read the telltale clues that separate the home-based camgirls from the studio ladies, but fellows new to the field might not. That's why we've put together this brief guide of what to look for. Some sites will tell you right up front that they're studio based (VoyeurDorm pops immediately to mind), and conversely, some sites (like CamContacts and iFrends) are made up primarily of independents, though there may be the occasional studio girl in the mix. Some sites will lie to you and tell you the girls are broadcasting from home (CamChatter) when they're not. The big challenge is puzzling things out when no one's telling you anything about homegirl status. The clues are sometimes kind of minor and require a close study of the surroundings, but not always. For example, there's a big ol' clue in these images, which come to us courtesy of lovely ACheerleader from CamContacts. In a way, that particular feature is a hindrance to getting the best possible view, but it's a dead giveaway that you're talking homegirl here:   Have you figured it out? You can't see it in this shot, but clearly there's a window buttward of the model, and she's using the light from it for her chat session. But that's all right -- it compliments that great ass. The point is, studios usually don't have clear windows -- it messes up the lighting when the camgirls are performing during the day. Although it varies in practice, studios are generally all about professionalism, so many times the presentation and lighting are excellent when you're chatting up studio girls. This isn't always the case, but usually it is. These two shots are a good example, then, of another way to tell a homegirl site; the lighting is kind of dim, since she's depending on ambient sunlight. A studio wouldn't stand for this, but a homegirl fan just might. In the second shot, you can see another clue she's a homegirl: a nice piece of art on the wall. Yeah, in looking at it you may say, "Eh, it looks like she's in a hotel room." But check out her photo gallery, compiled over many months: she always uses this room. My guess is it really is her bedroom or living room -- or possible her dorm room. She's a cheerleader, after all. You don't see them often -- and we don't have any pictures showing them -- but TVs and gaming systems are sometimes visible in a camgirl's background. That's pretty much a dead giveaway, too -- what studio's going to let the girls while away their work-time playing? Radios are more common, because a lot of girls listen to the radio while they're working, and in fact you do see speakers and stereos every once in a while. But my suspicion is that we're talking portables in most cases, or even CDs or streaming music played on their computer. The girls who've got a full stereo system or great big speakers are probably working at home, like XSharonX from I’mLive here. See that speaker to the left of her? Yep.  This lovely lady also has another homegirl clue in her background: a great big plant. Looks like a spider palm to us, but we're no botanists. Oh, there's nothing to keep a studio from having plants scattered about (we've actually seen the occasional example), but most of the girls who decorate with plants are homegirls. Here's another example, SweetPilarme from LiveJasmin. You can just barely see the planter on the left. We like the way she has all her toys lined up on the wall…  In other news, homegirls don't usually leave clutter around where everyone can see it unless it has something to do with the kinky games they're playing, but sometimes you get a glimpse of other furniture in addition to the bed the lady's performing on. While that's not a dead giveaway, at least you know that the studio hasn't just tacked a backdrop on the wall and stuck your camgirl onto one of a long line of beds in the same big room. Take a look at FLORIDAwife here, from Camcontacts. She's got a lot of homegirl features going for her: natural light, houseplants, and other furniture in the background. Shera, from a site called Sexxyeyes, which I have not yet reviewed, has a nightstand visible.   Then there are other rooms besides bedrooms. Homegirls often broadcast from their living rooms, where they can be comfortable, and less often from kitchens and other areas of their dwellings. Loveextassy from Camcontacts, for example, is obviously perched on her couch. So is the girl who greets you when you go onto the SweetApples pay site. We don't know her name, but she sure is cute. You can also see some framed art in her background, and some kind of other furniture behind her.   All these things are the clues that we experienced homegirl hunters use to tell whether a particular girl is home-based or not, if it's not obvious. Oftentimes it's a combination of items, as with ACheerleader up there, that gives the game away. Of course, there's always the possibility that we're mistaken about any of these things on particular occasions: surely some studios are in houses with windows that aren't blacked out. Doubtless others don't care that much for presentation, lighting, etc -- we've all seen chat sites that are more interested in trying to make money than in presenting a quality product. Some might be thoughtful enough to introduce houseplants into their studio rooms, or decorate a little, or make their studios look like living rooms. All that's possible, and may conspire to prove us wrong in one case or another. But hey: at least it's a sweet self-delusion. And as we've always said, if it's studio and it still looks convincingly like homegirl, then that's good enough for government work. |
